1st Week
Evie was given a bath on her first night of life. She did not like it at all. She cried and turned very red, but calmed right down when she was wrapped up snug in this white blanket.
The next morning a photographer came over to take a few pictures. Evie didn't like be posed around too much and got a little fussy, but calmed right down when she heard daddy's voice. I guess it was one of the few things she was already familiar with when she entered this world.
We noticed that her pretty face had lots of little red scratch marks on it in the morning, so we decided to put some purple socks on her hands. Somehow, while she was sleeping one of the socks ended up just laying on her face instead of on her hand.
Later that day she was visited by both her Grandpa Suflita and her Grandpa Coon, among other family members that came to see her.
Reb, the midwife that helped deliver her, also came by to see her and see how she was doing.
We came home on her 3rd day of life. Charlie and Jeremy prepared us a wonderful meal and visited with us for a little while. Evie slept in the co-sleeper next to our bed the first night. She looks so tiny in it, as well as in the baby hammock she has sometimes slept in. We learned pretty quickly that it doesn't work to have her sleep in the same room as us. She is a pretty noisy sleeper.
Like most babies, she really likes to be bounced and swayed.
