Beware... there is a lot of tie dye in this post... We started out by heading to Wyoming, making our first stop in probably the coolest place in the state...the community college. No I'm serious, they had napkins made of recycled paper and full size dinosaur replicas. (The student art exhibit was delightful, I included a sample)
E got to touch her first real fossil, and we got our pictures taken in front of the fossils from my sister's company, the Green River Stone Company. Josh is pretty sure we saw the turtle when it was being prepared in Logan. http://www.greenriverstone.com/
We got some food at the T-Rex cafe and went to the bathroom. Baby E made a big step in her potty training. It seemed like she needed to poo but would not go until we put her on the toilet. Usually we just put her on when we saw she was about to go. This was an exciting new development! Yeah!
We continued on from there and made another stop or two. It was very windy and we saw quite a lot of windmills along the way. E got to stay in her first motel, the lucky girl. It was a Motel 6, which we patronized in different cities for three nights in a row. The fourth night we stayed ed at America's Best Value, which had the exact same bedspreads, furniture, lamps, etc as the Motel 6. We rolled up blankets and put them under the sheets on both sides of the bed for E to sleep without rolling off. I ended up sleeping with her most of the time, but we all slept really well.
We think E was happier on the trip than during regular days, because she was either sleeping or doing something fun with both of us. She had our pretty much undivided attention for 6 days straight! We all loved it.
